This includes headline u-values of as low as 0.8w/m2k triple glazed – that’s a Passive House, equivalent level of performance.
The even bigger wins for fabricators and installers are in the still impressive ranges of performance that the Decalu88 Flush Casement achieves double-glazed.
With a high performance patented thermal break, Decalu88 Flush gets down to u-values of as low as 1.2w/m2k with a centre pane u-value of 1.0w/m2k.
That’s a newbuild level of performance without having to go to a triple-glazed unit!
The patented thermal break used in the Decalu88 Flush Casement means that it makes meeting Part L energy regs for home improvement a walk in the park.
There’s no need to move to a more expensive glass specification, you can achieve a Part L compliant home improvement u-value of 1.4w/m2k with a unit with a ‘standard’ centre pane u-value of 1.2w/m2k.
Installers are more competitive and fabricators win more business!

How low can you go?
Many aluminium systems have struggled to meet the latest round of regulatory requirements for thermal efficiency under the revisions of Part L in June 2022.
But more change is coming around the corner! The expectation is that 2025 will deliver a further uplift in performance. Newbuild requirements could be as low as 0.8w/m2k under the new Future Homes Standard.

As all great innovations should be, The Decalu88 Flush Casement is the product of a journey. The developmental project ‘Iteration49’ was named after the number of design changes and refinements we have made – yep, all 49 of them!
The late nights, the weeks, the months (the occasional dead ends), have fed into the product that we have today – and most importantly – one which will continue to deliver opportunity long into the future.
New window and door systems are great – we love them. But they can often come with wealth of frustrations attached as those small, niggly fabrication irritations are discovered.
That’s another reason why like a fine wine, Iteration49 has taken a while to mature into a great new aluminium system. It’s been put to the test in real manufacturing environments throughout its development, so there are no surprises.
In this case ‘new’ means ‘good’, not ‘get ready for a manufacturing headache.’
Don’t think for a moment that we’ve forgotten about installers. We haven’t. We know it’s not only about delivering products which are great to make, they have to be good to fit – and deliver on design.
